Terms of service
The agreement between you and ClipAspect — what you get, what you pay, and what you may upload.
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Who you are contracting with
ClipAspect is operated by Grandiere, Chemin des pépinières 20, Renens, Switzerland. Contact: clipaspect@gmail.com.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.
The service
ClipAspect takes a video you upload, transcribes its speech, uses automated analysis to find passages that work as standalone clips, and renders them as vertical clips with captions.
Clip selection is automated and results vary with the material. We do not promise any particular quality, or any result on any platform.
ClipAspect does not download content from YouTube or any other platform. You upload files you already hold.
Your account
- You need a valid email address and must keep it current.
- You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account.
- One person or organisation per account.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Plans and prices
Creating an account, uploading a video and configuring a project are free. Generating clips requires an active plan.
| Plan | Price | Credits / month |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | €14.99 / month | 3,200 |
| Pro | €29.99 / month | 9,600 |
| Studio | €79.99 / month | 32,000 |
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never receive your card number. If a payment fails, generation may be paused until it succeeds — nothing is deleted.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time, and we do not give refunds. Cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund periods already paid, or credit boosts already bought.
There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Cancelling is one action in your settings — you never have to email us to stop being charged.
If you are a consumer in the European Union you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract. For a digital service supplied immediately, that right can be waived where you expressly ask us to start at once and acknowledge that you lose it. Nothing here removes a mandatory consumer right you have where you live.
Credits
Processing is paid for in credits. The cost is calculated from the real duration of your file, measured on our servers, and from how much output you asked for. You see the exact cost before you start.
- Plan credits are granted each billing period and reset when it renews. They do not roll over.
- Purchased credits do not expire, survive a renewal, and are spent only after your plan credits are used up.
- Credits are taken when processing starts. If a job fails, they are returned automatically.
- Re-rendering an existing clip costs nothing.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
Credit boosts are a one-time purchase and are not refundable. Credits you have bought stay on your account and remain usable after a subscription ends; a plan allowance does not carry over past the period it belongs to.
Your content
You keep all rights in the videos you upload and the clips produced from them. We claim no ownership and we do not use your content to train any model.
You grant us only the licence needed to run the service for you: to store, transcode, transcribe, analyse and render your files, and to pass them to the providers listed in the privacy policy. That licence ends when you delete the content.
You are responsible for holding the rights to everything you upload. You confirm this for each project before processing begins.
The videos shown on this site
The clips and thumbnails on our own pages come from creators who gave their permission for them to be used here. Each one is credited on the page it appears on, with a link to the channel it came from.
Nothing appears on this site without that permission. If you are one of those creators and you want your video taken down, write to clipaspect@gmail.com and it will be removed — no reason needed.
What you may not do
- Upload content you do not hold the rights to.
- Upload content that is unlawful, that sexualises minors, that incites violence or hatred, or that violates someone’s privacy.
- Use the service to circumvent another platform’s protections.
- Attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or to bypass its limits or credit accounting.
- Create accounts in bulk to obtain extra allowances.
Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used unlawfully. Where circumstances allow we will warn you first. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give notice and refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
Availability and limits
We work to keep the service available but do not offer a service level guarantee. Limits apply and are enforced by the software: a maximum upload size and video length per plan, and a maximum number of clips per project. A video with no audio cannot be processed, because clip selection and captions both depend on speech.
We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces what your plan provides, we will tell you before it takes effect.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Keep your own copies of anything important. We are not a backup service.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to account holders before taking effect. Swiss law applies, and the competent courts are those of the operator’s domicile in Switzerland. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country and may bring proceedings there.
